Carroll University hosts Spirit of Hope dance exhibition

Carroll University’s Blaze dance team will host Spirit of Hope 2013, a collegiate dance team exhibition, on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013. The event begins at 2 p.m. in Van Male Field House, 227 N. Barstow St., Waukesha; east doors open at 1:40 p.m.

Admission is $5 adults, $3 students, and free for children age 5 and younger. Proceeds benefit the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse for breast and prostate cancer research. Last year’s event raised $740, an increase from $490 the previous year. The goal for 2013 is to top that success.

Participating teams in this family-friendly event include the UW-Milwaukee Panthers, University of Illinois-Chicago Dancing Flames, North Central College Cardettes, Benedictine College Lady Ravens, Wisconsin Lutheran College Power Surge, the Concordia University Wisconsin Dance Team, and Carroll University Blaze.
