Nursing students who graduated from Carroll University in 2011 had the highest pass rate on the national nursing licensing exam of any nursing program in the nation. Data is not yet available for 2012 graduates.

The results, released by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing for the period April 2011 to March 2012, showed that:

  • Of the 35 nursing programs in Wisconsin, including both associate and bachelor's degree programs, Carroll graduates had the highest pass rate.
  • Of the 705 nationwide nursing programs that offer bachelor's degrees, Carroll graduates had the highest pass rate.
  • Of the 1,871 nursing programs across the nation, including both associate and bachelor's degree programs, Carroll graduates had the highest pass rate.

The rankings are based on the percentage of Carroll graduates passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) RN exam compared to other programs with at least 10 graduates who took the exam during the same time period.
