Is Waukesha Home to the Most Inspired Student in America? 10K Scholarship Video Contest

Inspiring Experts asks students and professionals to create a short video explaining why their passionate about their careers and promote their videos via Facebook & Twitter so their friends can vote.

In an effort to bridge the rapidly growing skills’ gap between jobs in-demand and qualified candidates, Randstad, the second largest HR services and staffing company in the world, launched the second annual ‘Inspiring Experts’ contest. The three-pronged contest targeting college students and professionals, asks contestants to create a short video explaining why they chose their current career path and how they plan to change the world through their chosen fields. Three winners will be chosen from each category, with the top student video resulting in a $10,000 scholarship.

Students and professionals can now upload short video narratives encouraging today’s youth to pursue a specific major or area of study to the Inspiring Experts’ website. Pending submission, contestants will receive a unique URL for their entry which they are than encouraged to promote through their various social networks in hopes of garnering votes. The three top vote-getting videos in each category submitted by November 30 will be awarded with scholarships, cash prizes, philanthropic donations and more.

With the young adult unemployment rate reporting historically high numbers, and industries such as engineering, IT and healthcare indicating  the need for more talent to fill open positions, Randstad recognized a problem and subsequent solution. In educating the young people of America about jobs with low unemployment rates and high-growth potential and encouraging pursuit of such industries, a pipeline of qualified talent is created. This new ‘class’ of professionals will ultimately be armed with the ability to lower the unemployment rate while narrowing the skills’ gap.
