Lived in Waukesha for 10 years and never ate at this place due to hearing many negative comments by friends and neighbors. Finally decided to see for myself and that was a mistake.
Ordered 2 items, Chicken Penne and Chicken Parmesan
. As other reviewers have mentioned, the chicken was frozen. It is bland and dry. The pasta itself was hard, as if it too was previously in a frozen state. Even though they were not busy, it was 6:00pm on a Tuesday night, food was not hot and appeared to have been under heat lamps for a while. The lettuce in the salad was warm, and it's a basic iceberg with a house dressing that lacked flavor. The decor is from the 90's and is very outdated. They have food reviews in frames on the wall when you enter, but they are from 1991 and 1995. Should have realized that if a restaurant has reviews on the wall from 19 years ago and more, there is probably a good reason why. Now I know. Seriously, there are way better options within a few miles from this place, in Waukesha, and this was just a terrible experience. Go to Michael's on Sunset, or Mia's in downtown Waukesha. Much better in every respect. Don't waste your money on defrosted chicken, hard pasta, and warm lettuce. Other reviews say the pizza is good, and maybe it is, but I won't find out based on this experience. Service was slow and nothing special. Employees dress casually and don't look professional. They look nothing like the photo on their own website. Appear to be just a bunch of miserable people in a dying establishment. Chef Ramsey would have a field day with this place and they really could use his help.
