Waukesha Weekend Guide September 6th-9th

Friday September 6th


Fall Art Walk-Delafield
At 5:00 pm on Friday September 6th stroll down Genesee Street (Highway C) in Downtown Delafield and peruse a variety of works by local artists, set up at stops along the street. This event also features live music and performances and free horse and carriage rides. The event activities will also take place on Wells, Milwaukee and Dopkins streets.

Waukesha Freeman Friday Night Live-
This event will have you dancing in the streets through downtown Waukesha. (This is a Lake Country Family Fun favorite). The event starts at 6:30 pm and runs through 9:00 pm each Friday night.

Pajama Storytime- Oconomowoc-
Join Books & Company for a pajama storytime. Pirates will be the theme this month. Ms. Lisa will share stories about pirates to the kids (ages 3 years and over). Make your own telescope, pirate hat and eye patch, search for treasure, and enjoy a snack fit for a pirate. 6:30pm until 7:30 pm
Saturday September 7th
Oconomowoc Farmers Market-
7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon- Municipal City Parking Lot by the old train depot. 175 E. Wisconsin Avenue
Waukesha Farmers Market-
The Waukesha Farmers’ Market is an open-air, producer-only public market that operates every Saturday, May 4th through October 26th, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., rain or shine. The Waukesha Farmers’ Market is held in Historic Downtown Waukesha and takes place along the south side of the Fox River in Riverfront Plaza.
Delafield Farmers Market-
Fish Hatchery Parking lot, runs from 8:00am-1:00pm
Family Farm Weekend- Milwaukee Zoo-
Plan your visit to the Milwaukee County Zoo for Family Farm Weekend and experience tractor pulls, cooking demonstrations, great down home muisc! Regular admission and parking rates apply, but is included if you have a zoo pass.
Little Chef Class ( at Antigua Real)- Mukwonago-
The classes are designed for toddlers to primary school-age kids to learn to make simple, tasty Spanish meals that they can replicate at home. The 40-minute class teaches students both the English and Spanish word for each ingredient and step of the recipe. The classes have ranged in size from 4 to 18 kids, require a parent to accompany children and allows them to determine how much their child can participate based on their skill level. Those students and parents who wish to stay and enjoy lunch after the class will receive a 10 percent discount. The classes are free once a month and walk-ins are allowed, however you are encourage to RSVP on Facebook or by calling Ana at (262) 470-2494. Class begins at 10:00am
Waukesha Art Fest-
There will be juried art, a children’s area, live music and more filling up the streets of Downtown Waukesha! From 10:00am until 5:00pm
Autumn Harvest Fest- 
Hayrides, pony rides, apple picking and more will all be happening at the Elegant Farmer! They will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and the East Troy electric railroad will be running!
Town Truck Day-Brookfield-
Have your kids always wanted to see how the fire engines work? Where the snowplows get attached? What the inside of a police car feels like (without being arrested!)? The Town of Brookfield is going to provide you this awesome opportunity!
Mothers & More ( they are awesome) will be on hand with refreshments and food and the Department of Public Works will have several demonstrations that can’t be missed.
This year, the event will be combined with the Fire Department Open House.
The Flight For Life helicopter will make its visit, thrilling all who attend. They are scheduled to land at 11:00 am that day.
See you Saturday, September 7 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Town Hall (this is a rain or shine event!)

Celtic Fest-Pewaukee
Head down to Pewaukee’s Lakefront Park to celebrate Irish culture with Irish dancing, a children’s craft area, food, beverages, and shopping! From 4:00pm until 10:00pm
