Waukesha Weekend Guide September 13th-15th

Friday August 13th

HawkFest- Arrowhead High School-
The event is scheduled for Friday, September 13, 2013 beginning at 4:00 pm and ending 9:00 pm at Arrowhead High School. The charity festival continues to draw thousands who enjoy an evening full of music, games, attractions, rides, food and fun for all ages. The evening also features the State Football Champ Arrowhead Warhawk football team taking on the Waukesha Catholic Memorial Crusaders at 7:00 pm. Last year over 7,000 spectators were in attendance which included over 16 rides/inflatables, carnival games, laser tag, talent stage, face painting, the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill, local vendors, and much more.

Harvest Fest-North Prairie-
We love Harvest Fest here at Lake Country Family Fun, it has midway rides, live music, kids activities, a parade, fireworks, and much more. All the festivities occur at Veterans Park, and it honestly is so much fun! The hours that the festival will be running are from 5:00pm until 11:00pm on Friday, Saturday 9:00am until 11:00pm, and Sunday from 10:00pm until 5:00pm.

Waukesha Freeman Friday Night Live-
This event will have you dancing in the streets through downtown Waukesha. (This is a Lake Country Family Fun favorite). The event starts at 6:30 pm and runs through 9:00 pm each Friday night.

Oconomowoc Farmers Market-
7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon- Municipal City Parking Lot by the old train depot. 175 E. Wisconsin Avenue

Waukesha Farmers Market-
The Waukesha Farmers’ Market is an open-air, producer-only public market that operates every Saturday, May 4th through October 26th, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., rain or shine. The Waukesha Farmers’ Market is held in Historic Downtown Waukesha and takes place along the south side of the Fox River in Riverfront Plaza.

Delafield Farmers Market-
Fish Hatchery Parking lot, runs from 8:00am-1:00pm

Fall Festival-Oconomowoc-
Head to Downtown Oconomowoc for the Fall Festival!
It will be a day full of fall fun. It starts with the Burrito Biathlon (register at silvercirclesportsevents.com)
From 10:00 am-3:00 pm there will be kids games, 11:00 am Kayak Races.
There will be a beer tent and street vendors all day.
From 10:00 am-3:00 pm Dance Performances by:

Elation Dance Studio
Milwaukee Ballet
To The Pointe
Mainstage Dance Academy
At 1:00 pm there will be a chili pepper eating contest, followed by live music from 3:00 pm -6:00 pm Live Music, then from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm Plumb Loco will take the stage!

ReDiscover 4-H and Discover Continuing Education-Waukesha-
Head over to UW-Waukesha from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for a FREE family day to sample what 4-H and Continuing Education have to offer! Open to all ages with over 50 workshops and hands-on activities for families, youth (K5-high school) and adults.

Hayrides, pony rides, apple picking and more will all be happening at the Elegant Farmer! They will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm and the East Troy electric railroad will be running!

Menomonee Falls Fire Department Open House-
The Menomonee Falls Fire Department invites you to their Fire Station Open Houses!
The four stations will be open on different days with different things to see and do at each station.
Meet the Firefighters and EMTs, see the trucks and tour the station.
Stop by for fun and education for the entire family!

Sunday August 15th

Delafield Classic Car Show-
Vote for your favorite car from among the hundreds of muscle cars, hot rods and other unique vehicles displayed along Milwaukee Street.

Harvest Fest-Pewaukee
The Pewaukee Area Historical Society is hosting Harvest Fest! It is a free event that include a concert by the Civic Broadway Singers, there will be historical exhibits, tours of the museum and a bake sale and rummage.
