Christmas Office Opportunity, Christmas Clearing Council, Waukesha
Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County works to provide Christmas to children in need in our community. We fill our files in the fall with the names children whose families are struggling and who have been qualified by agencies and schools. We then match them with sponsors (individuals, businesses, clubs, and organizations) who commit to spending a minimum of $60 on items on the child's wish list. Our offices are open seasonally from mid-October - mid-December. We staff three volunteers from 9 a.m. to noon and three from noon to 3 p.m. five days a week for the nine-week season. Volunteers answer phone calls from people who wish to help others for Christmas, match them with the families in need, write up the matches, help with mailings, filing and other office duties. Requirements: Volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 years and older. We will train you at the CCC offices on the various projects.
