Toy Shop Helpers, Girl Scout Leaders, Home Repairers and Bakers Needed

Volunteers needed for Christmas Clearing Council toy shop, Girl Scouts and Interfaith Senior Programs and bakers needed for National Alliance on Mental Illness-Waukesha.

United Way in Waukesha County would like to invite volunteers to the following opportunities:

Toy Shop Helper, Christmas Clearing Council, Waukesha

Volunteers are needed to help sort and arrange donated toys and escort parents as they select gifts for their children at our annual Toy Shop. Volunteer opportunities include unloading and sorting toys on Thursday evening (12/13) and Friday morning (12/14) and afternoon. On Saturday (12/15) we need volunteers for 3-hour shifts for a variety of activities as parents are escorted through the Toy Shop selecting items for their children. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are helpful. Requirements: All ages are welcome on Thursday evening. Friday and Saturday Volunteers must be in High School.

Globe Trotters Event, Girl Scouts Of Wisconsin Southeast, Waukesha

Be a Girl Scout Event Volunteer and share your passion, have fun, and positively impact girls' lives. Activities are already created and materials provided. Assist or lead a group of 15-20 girls in grades 2-3. Grab your passport and help girls travel the world through food, games, music, and art. Experience Scotland, Jordan, Thailand, and Canada all in one day.
Choose one or more of the following event sessions:
Thursday, November 15, 4:30-7:00 p.m., Chinook
Saturday, November 17, 9:00-11:30 a.m., Chinook
Saturday, November 17, 12:30-3:00 p.m., Chinook
Events may require additional set up and clean up time, beyond the scheduled event. Staff will provide a detailed confirmation prior to the event. Volunteers must be a minimum age of 18 years old. All volunteers must complete a brief application and background check.

Minor Home Repairs, Interfaith Senior Programs, Waukesha

 Help a neighbor to remain independent in their home by helping out with small minor repairs around the home or yard. Handy person needed to make minor home repairs, change light bulbs, fix plumbing, etc. Dates and times are flexible, based on the client's schedule. Requirements: Volunteers must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Calling All Cookie Bakers!, National Alliance On Mental Illness (NAMI-Waukesha), Waukesha

Our annual holiday fundraiser is being held at The World's Greatest Cookie Sale again! If you enjoy baking, please consider baking holiday treats for this fundraiser. The event is held at the Country Springs Hotel and Water Park on Friday, November 23, 2012 (the day after Thanksgiving), from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. We need home-baked holiday cookies, bars and/or fudge. Please bring your baked goods to the NAMI Waukesha office no later than Tuesday, November 20th between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm. We will be packaging the holiday treats on Wednesday, November 21st at the NAMI office. There are no special requirements other than the love of baking!
