Boston Store's Spring Fashion Show Trendevous

Boston Store's semi-annual fashion show, Trendevous.

Saturday was Brookfield Square Boston Store’s semi-annual Trendevous fashion show. Boston Store’s fashion show is always an enjoyable one and showcases the latest looks and trends they have available.  It doesn’t hurt that attending the show provides you with a booklet of coupons that are better than their normal ones but are only good the day of the show. One smart lady I sat near said she had come earlier in the week to find what she wanted, tried it all on and had them hold the items so all she had to do was present her coupons. Since it’s crazy busy the day of the fashion show, this is a great idea.

This show focused on spring trends and what the consumer can expect from Boston Store for the next couple of months. The American League started it out with fun, casual Americana looks. In the Blues was next with comfy, yet put together denim outfits. The Bold and the Beautiful continued the line up with colorful, bright prints which look great and are easy to wear.

World Beat was the next trend section and all about ethnic inspired colors and prints including animal and a Missoni-esque maxi skirt. Personally I didn’t see many hard core ethnic looks but I did enjoy what was shown.  Last but now least, Black and White was the last set of looks that centered around, you guessed it, black and white. The vibe was mostly after five, which gave ideas for events you may have coming up.

One of the things I appreciate most about Boston Store’s fashion shows is that they include diverse models. I’m not talking about just ethnicity but also maturity of age and plus size. Of course the company does this because these demographics are their target market but it’s still good to see. I’d like to see more men’s fashions. There are only a few scattered throughout the show and there should be more. A whole section of looks just for men would be a welcome addition.

Look for Boston Store’s fall show, usually in September.
