·         As an Open Admissions Shelter, HAWS doesn’t turn an animal away, welcoming animals regardless of their breed, temperament, health or age. No appointments or surrender fees are required.

·         As a Full Service Humane Society, HAWS is available for people and their pets for a lifetime, with a Behavior Department and Mod Squad to rehabilitate pets; the Spay-Neuter Initiative Program (SNIP) and Project Guardian to aggressively combat pet overpopulation; a 24-hour on-call Animal Rescue Team; Annie’s Fund for medical care; and Humane Education including day camps, school programs, seminars, training, consultations.

Winter break blues? Not at HAWS!  Register today for HAWS’ Winter Kids ‘N Critters Day Camp.  Sessions run December 23-31, for children ages 6 – 14 years.  Call 262-542-8851, x118.

Holiday “fun”-draising: HAWS joins the Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals and the Angels for Animals Campaign. Also, throughout December, Waukesha’s Taco John’s restaurant, 317 N. Grand Ave., is running their Nachos Navidad promotion to benefit HAWS: Go ahead and indulge – it’s for the animals!

By the way - HAWS’ Mobile Adoption Center “brings happy tails to you” this season providing many opportunities to spread holiday cheer and find homes for homeless pets!
