Nosh and Mush (well, maybe) at HAWS!

This Saturday, HAWS again joins in the fun of Waukesha's Jan-Boree with "Cool Your Paws at HAWS" - a fest for people and their pets!

Join in the fun of Waukesha Jan-Boree with HAWS at "Cool Your Paws at HAWS II" - this Saturday, January 19, from 11:00am to 3:00pm!

We'll have a Shelter Scavenger Hunt and coloring contest for kids, and Hotdog Bobbing and the Peanut Butter Lick-Off for pets!  Enjoy treats for the whole family, meet adoptable pets, "hang" with HAWS’ mascot Lucky, and enter the raffle for a flat screen TV and firepit.

Pets are DEFINITELY welcome!!  Those pets joining in the fun should be secured in a carrier or on a 6' leash for safety.

Cool Your Paws at HAWS Highlights:

11:30am - “K9 Cuisine with Dr. Claudeen”
This pet cooking class/demonstration focuses on healthy pet eating. Make Lab Lasagna or a Poodle Parfait for your best friend, and take home the leftovers! Pre-registration is requested, call 262-542-8851 for details. Participants are asked to donate $5 each to defray the cost of food.

(And, if we get 6" or more of snow before Saturday...so start doing your snow dances now...)
Noon - 2:30pm - Dog Sled Rides!

Weather permitting, rides will be given at 10-minute intervals.  Signup begins at 11:30am - first come, first served, $5 donation/run, proceeds benefit HAWS’ animal care and adoption programs.

JUST ANNOUNCED:
11am - 2pm - Book Signing with Allison Schley
Allison will be on hand to sign copies of her book Forever Friends, the story of Matt and Dexter - a HAWS alumni dog!

By the way – there’s still time to purchase your tickets to Oom-Pa Paws, the Polka Party for HAWS on Saturday, January 26! Tickets are $20/person in advance, $30 at the door – reserved tables are available so you can bring the entire gang. “Accordion” to our Friends, this is one party you don’t want to miss…
