A BOO-tiful Month for the Animals

HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, gets in the spirit of the month with activities and events for pets and their people.

Eat, drink and be scary! Tickets are going fast for Haunted HAWS – the Halloween costume party/fundraiser on October 18th from 5:30-9:30pm. Let the ‘ghoul’ times roll with a silent auction, dinner/dessert buffets, raffles, music by DJ Majic, adoptable pets Costume Parade and more. Admission is $50/person; sponsorships and reserved tables still available – call 262.542.8851, x112 or email jessica@hawspets.org. All proceeds benefit the animals, programs and services at HAWS.

Have a fun afternoon learning all about little best friends at HAWS free Guinea Pig Primer! Guest speakers Dr. Denise Follett of Brook-Falls Veterinary Hospital and Exotic Care and Susan Scheck from All Creatures Rescue will discuss housing, behavior and health issues. Guinea pigs are welcome and can participate in the Race for Parsley and more. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
