Green Shades of Twilight: Adopt "4 Claws" from HAWS!

HAWS isn't just about dogs and cats - adopt a truly unique friend from our small animal ward!

HAWS doesn't just assure sanctuary for cats and dogs!  Our small animal ward provides housing for a myriad of creatures - furry, feathered, fabulous all!

Twilight is a green iguana, currently measuring about 20 inches long from end of snout to end of tail.  That makes Twilight approximately 1 year old...and means lots of growing still to do to reach "maturity" which is 5-6 feet in length.

An Iguana's housing will have to be changed in size throughout their lifetime to accomodate their growth.  They also have very specific dietary requirements as well as heat and light requirements.  A visit a reptile vet regularly is a must to maintain good health!

Iguana's are a long-term commitment:  before adopting, do your research and learn all about Iguana care.  (Iguana's are still the No. 1 "dumped" reptile in the U.S.!)  As a special gift, when you adopt Twilight at HAWS you will receive a copy of "Iguanas For Dummies" by Melissa Kaplan!
