ProHealth Care and the American Heart Association invite the public to participate in the Go Red For Women Challenge, a three-month program to help men and women improve their heart health by living a healthier life.
The Go Red For Women Challenge will include classes, events, incentives, prizes and the first 100 people who sign up for the program will have access to an online life coach. Monthly themes include knowing your heart risks and how to improve them, getting active and eating better, and maintaining the change.
To begin the program, participants can attend a screening event from 7 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Oconomowoc Memorial or . At the event, participants will receive a heart risk assessment including blood pressure check, waist girth measurement, Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat profile, complete lipid and blood glucose check, and a one-on-one consult to review the results. The screening will be provided at a discounted cost of only $20. An appointment is required. Call 262-928-2745 to schedule a screening appointment.

Those who do not attend the screening event can instead visit their primary care physician for a health assessment. Prizes for signing up and completing the challenge include a grand-prize drawing with a six-month membership to West Wood Health & Fitness, gift cards to Target, Home Depot and The Spa at West Wood, and more.
Heart disease is the number one cause of death for women and men, and is largely preventable through lifestyle changes such as healthy eating, exercise, quitting smoking and managing stress. In southeast Wisconsin, ProHealth Care is the exclusive Go Red sponsor.
