WeCare Clinic Open House

WeCare Clinic in Oconomowoc will be hosting a three week-long Personal Hygiene Item drive to
benefit the Salvation Army of Waukesha County. The collections will run through
October 3 during regular clinic hours, which are currently 12pm-6pm on Tuesdays
and Thursdays.

“We are
asking the community to join us and help fill a need that you do not often hear
about. The Salvation Army helps many people in our community in a variety of
ways.” explained Jon Kurozawa, Marketing Director for WeCare Clinic. “We are
collecting all sorts of basic hygiene items from soap, shampoo, and toothpaste,
to t-shirts, women’s products and even socks. This will allow Salvation Army to
distribute these items for those in need.”

WeCare will host an Open House on Saturday
September 21 from 2-5pm, in conjunction with the annual Shorehaven community
Open House. During the open house, WeCare Clinic will be offering free blood
pressure screenings to the public and will host a flu shot clinic with the
vaccinations being available for $30. Lots of surprises in store for that day
as well.

In
addition, WeCare Clinic has also announced a schedule of flu shot clinics open
to the community through the end of October. No appointment necessary for the
flu shot clinics which will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays through October
31. “Seasonal flu activity
can begin as early as October, so now is the time to get vaccinated” Says
Kurozawa. “Even though flu season can last until as late as May, getting the
vaccine now helps protect you through the entire season.
