Snow Storm in May? Retired Waukesha Forester Reminisces on the 1990 Storm

This May weather may not be perfect but at least it's not like it was on May 10, 1990.

A retired Waukesha forester spoke with Patch media partner WISN 12 News about the snow storm that hit Waukesha on May 10, 1990.

"When I think about May 10, I start perspiring heavily, and I think the term I used once we got out and were assessing what was going on, I think I called the storm 'devastatingly spectacular,'" David Liska, who was Waukesha's forester for nearly four decades, told WISN 12.

The 1990 storm was the latest spring snowstorm to ever hit Wisconsin and crippled thousands of Waukesha's trees.
