Tuesday Will Be Toasty

Heat advisory issued for southeastern Wisconsin with Waukesha's forecast at 95 degrees.

Make sure your air conditioner is in working order, because Tuesday is going to be a hot one. 

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory, which will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to reach the mid to upper 90s, with head indexes approaching 100, according to the NWS.

The high in Waukesha is expected to be about 95 degrees, according to the NWS.

Strong thunderstorms are possible late Tuesday night and Wednesday as a cold front moves through. Wednesday's high is expected to be about 94 degrees but the cold front means Thursday's forecast has a high of 68 degrees, according to the NWS.

Unfortunately for Waukesha residents, that's when the public swimming pools open.
