GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, will not face prosecution for an Election Day event where he gave supporters and voters a sub sandwich and a soda from Cousins Subs in Waukesha.

Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel concluded a six-week investigation and released on Friday his decision to Melissa Bauldauff, the research director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.

Video captured by Patch shows Romney and Ryan handing out the sub sandwiches. Additionally, a video edited by the state Democratic Party shows Romney leading a rally and telling supporters to go vote, and, “If you want another sandwich, there are more back there.”

State law prohibits offering something valued at more than $1 in exchange for a vote.

Editor’s Note: The subs didn’t help Romney win the 2012 election. Despite picking Ryan, a Wisconsin native, Romney lost Wisconsin in the election against President Barack Obama.

Woman Not 'Lovin' It' at Waukesha McDonald's

Contrary to the company’s slogan, a local woman wasn’t “lovin’ it” when McDonald’s ran out of chicken McNuggets Sunday morning.

Andrea R. Hill, 22, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Monday with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of resisting an officer after she was accused of chucking her French fries at the drive-thru window in Waukesha, and began to hit the window when an employee told her they were out of McNuggets. If convicted, she faces up to one year in jail and $11,000 in fines.

Editor’s Note: As 2012 passes, Hill remains in the criminal justice system. She is scheduled for a trial in January.

Sex With Couch? Man Faces Possible Jail Time for Curbside Incident

A 46-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after an off-duty cop jogging through the Pebble Valley neighborhood found the man having sex with an abandoned couch set on a curb, according to a criminal complaint.

Gerard P. Streator was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Thursday with one count of lewd and lascivious behavior. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Editor’s Note: Streator will learn his fate in the curbside incident during a plea/sentencing hearing on Feb. 25.

Jail Brawl Breaks Out When Two Women Visit Same Inmate

Two Milwaukee woman are facing charges after they got into a brawl when they both went to visit the same man in Waukesha County Jail without the other one knowing.

Vashti C. Davis, 25, and Andrea M. Williams, 27, were both charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court with one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, they could serve up to 90 days in jail and pay $1,000 in fines.

Editor’s Note: As of the time of writing this, a warrant has been issued for Davis’ arrest. Williams was fined $379 in the incident.

More Protesters Greet Gov. Scott Walker in Illinois

With chants of “Union busting is disgusting” and “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Scott Walker’s got to go,” more than 200 union members from Illinois and Wisconsin lined the entrance to a suburban Chicago hotel Friday evening where the Wisconsin governor was speaking.
