This Week in Weather: April 17 to April 23

It will be a wet week in Waukesha, according to predictions from the National Weather Service.

If you are looking for sunshine and perfect picnic weather, don’t look in Waukesha this week. With few days of sun in the forecast but plenty of rain, it won’t be the nicest week for weather, according to the National Weather Service.

The week might be wet and rainy but Thursday will be a good day to see the sun, according to the NWS forecast:

  • Sunday: High near 48, low near 33. Mostly sunny but breezy. There is a 30 percent chance for rain and snow in the evening.
  • Monday: High near 44 and low near 34. Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain during the day. There is a 70 percent chance of rain at night with about ¼- to ½-inch of rainfall expected.
  • Tuesday: High near 43 and low near 36. Showers and a thunderstorm are possible with an 80 percent chance of precipitation. One-half inch to ¾-inch of rainfall could occur.
  • Wednesday: High of 46 and low near 31. A 50 percent chance of precipitation includes the possibility for rain and snow.
  • Thursday: High near 48 and low near 35. Mostly sunny during the day with 30 percent chance of showers during the night.
  • Friday: High around 46 and low around 37. There is a 50 percent chance of rain during the day followed by a 60 percent chance at night.
  • Saturday: A high near 50 degrees will also be mostly cloudy and breezy with a 20 percent chance of rain.
