Power Back on in Waukesha After Severe Storm

Some hail reported with Wednesday night's storm.

Last night’s storm brought ½-inch diameter hail in southeastern Waukesha at 9:11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

In Waukesha County, the National Weather Service had reports of high-speed winds and storm damage.

At 8:50 p.m. Wednesday in Eagle, the winds were at 57 mph. Hail that landed in Oconomowoc was 1/4 –inch in diameter. A small piece of aluminum blew off the side of a house in Muskego at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Meanwhile, when the emergency weather sirens were activated around 8:50 p.m. in Waukesha, those at the Waukesha Plan Commission meeting at City Hall were ushered into the building’s cafeteria.

About 850 people had lost power in Waukesha and the surrounding neighborhoods. However, the power has been restored to all but about 10 customers in eastern Waukesha.
