Police Report: Fights, Suspicious Activity and Ordinance Issues

Summary from Waukesha Police Department call log for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The following items are brief summaries from the call log. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt.

Disputes and fights

  • Three people were arrested following a fight between juveniles in the area of Woodburn and Pebble Valley roads. The incident was reported Tuesday at 2:46 p.m.
  • A person was arrested following a fight Tuesday at 4:50 p.m. in the 400 block of North Moreland Boulevard.
  • Problems between neighbors in the 2400 block of Willowood Drive was reported Tuesday at 5:10 p.m. Police determined that the concerns were civil issues regarding the condo association. Both parties were advised and given options by police.
  • A man was advised by police following an incident in the 300 block of North West Avenue Tuesday at 4:26 p.m. The man said he had an injured leg after being pushed by his neighbor the night before. After speaking with both parties, police determined that that the man was highly intoxicated Monday night, noting that he urinated in the hallways of the building. The man went to the neighbor’s door and kept banging. When she opened the door, the man tried coming in and she pushed him away, preventing him from entering. She said he fell down and then got up. After the man was checked by fire department personnel, police advised the man to leave his neighbor alone and to stop banging on her door. Police noted that the man is habitually intoxicated or under the influence.

Suspicious activity

  • Police received a call about a suspicious person Wednesday at 9:43 a.m. in the 2700 block of Newcastle Court regarding a woman who was selling books door-to-door. Police advised the saleswoman to get a solicitor’s permit or cease operations.
  • A man sitting on the curb in the area of National and Perkins avenues was a subject of concern for a caller to the police department Wednesday at 8:19 a.m. The caller thought the man was taking pictures of the warehouse across the street but the man told police he was watching videos on his iPhone while waiting for someone.

Ordinance issues: No 4-wheelers or pools without fences

  • Parents of a 14-year-old boy in the 2600 block of Madison Street were advised Tuesday after a caller at 8:39 p.m. told police that the boy was riding a four-wheeler around the block, up and down the alley and on the sidewalks. Police determined the parents had just moved to the area and were not aware of the city ordinance. They agreed to not to operate the four-wheeler in the city or let anyone else operate the four-wheeler in the city.
  • Owner of a pool in the 1500 block of Summit Avenue was advised following a call to police Tuesday at 2:18 p.m. The pool, which was above ground, had a ladder perched against it and no fence around it. The owner told police she did not know that she had to have a fence and that she would drain the pool and disassemble it. The ladder was taken out immediately.

Criminal damage to property

  • A caller reported at 6:54 a.m. Wednesday that tires and patio furniture cushion were slashed in the 2400 block of Forest Hill Court.
  • A vehicle was egged in the 2700 Woodridge Lane. The incident, which has occurred six other times, was reported Tuesday at 6:29 p.m.

Theft: A climbing rope was reported stolen Tuesday at 8:13 p.m. from a truck parked in the 600 block of East North Street.

Intoxication: A caller reported an intoxicated driver in the 900 block of North Barstow Street Tuesday at 8:23 p.m. after seeing a car hit a wall pulling into the lot. The caller told police that after parking, the driver, who appeared to be drunk with glazed eyes, stumbled out of the car and bought alcohol. The man then drove toward downtown. Police were unable to locate the vehicle or driver.

Not unreasonably noisy: A noise complaint was called in to police about roofers working in the 200 block of Randall Street Wednesday at 8:04 a.m. Police determined that the level of noise not unreasonable for the time of day.
