Obituary: Patricia “Pat” Ann Wegner

Patricia “Pat” Ann Wegner, a longtime Waukesha resident, died on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Waukesha Springs at the age of 87 years.

She was born in Milwaukee on March 16, 1926 the daughter of William and Audrey (nee Burton) Knight.  She was a graduate of West Allis Hale and on September 14, 1946 she married LeRoy Wegner in West Allis; he preceded her in death on April 9, 2009.  Pat worked as a secretary in Veterans Administration for Wood National Cemetery.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church since 1950.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Michael Wegner of Waukesha, Mark (Nancy) Wegner of Waukesha, Maureen (Scott) Prossen of Seffner, FL, and Mary Jo Spencer of Lakeland, FL. She was the beloved grandmother of Ellen, Joseph, Rebecca, Cameron and Jessica.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to her parents and her husband LeRoy, she was preceded in death by her brothers William “Bud” Knight and Gerald Knight.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 10:00AM until the 12:00 Noon funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186.  Reverend Howard Haase will preside.  Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.  If desired, memorials are appreciated to St. Mary Catholic Church (address above).
