Morning Commute: Capitol Drive Bridge Repair Begins

Repairs from dump truck striking bridge will last until mid-July.

Work to repair a bridge in Waukesha County that was struck after it was hit by a dump truck in February was scheduled to begin Friday night, which means some people's morning commutes could be affected today.

The westbound Capitol Drive (Highway 190) bridge over highways 74 and F will be fixed from the accident's damage. Traffic will be crossed over to maintain one lane in each direction, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The westbound ramp to Capitol Drive from Highway 74 and Highway F will be closed. The posted detour re-routes traffic through highways M, 164 and K.
