Mayville Business Owners Donating $2M to Waukesha Memorial Hospital Renovations

Waukesha Memorial Hospital is undergoing an $18.3 million renovation project.

The owners of a Mayville business are donating $2 million for surgical room renovations at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The upgraded facilities will be named after the Edwin and Elfie Gallun family. The Galluns’ own Metalcraft, according to the Milwaukee newspaper.

ProHealth Care announced in July that Waukesha Memorial would undergo $18.3 million in renovations that include comprehensive updates to the intensive care, surgery, neurology, oncology and general surgery units.

The project will include a new café with a 300-seat dining area that wraps around a courtyard, providing a bright and inviting area for patients, families, visitors and hospital employees. 

The new concourse will include a pharmacy, gift shop, family resource center, coffee shop and greeter’s desk.
