Grab & Go: Movies, Bowling and Theater

Where/When: Waukesha Public Library, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday

Why Go: Send your children in grades 7 to 12 to the library to eat popcorn while watching the movie Serenity.

Where/When: Waukesha Public Library, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday and March 19.

Why Go: For kids ages 7 to 10 years, this is an interactive workshop put on by the library and Waukesha Civic Theater. Children can learn communication and listening skills while having fun.

Price: Free, but advanced registration is requested.

3. Bowling

Where: Fox Run Lanes

Why Go: Take a break from winter and take your children for a friendly game of bowling. If smoke has bothered you in the past, under the new state law, the bowling alleys are now smoke free.

4. Budget Movies

Where/When: Silver Cinemas – Budget South, times vary through Thursday

Why Go: Movies for children like The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 1, Tangled and Tron Legacy are all showing in the budget theater through Thursday. The movies will be updated on Friday in the theater.

Price: $2 per ticket
