Gov. Walker Orders Flags to be at Half-Staff in Honor of Waukesha Solider

Governor says flags to be lowered on Wednesday

Flags throughout the state are to be at half-staff to honor 1st Lt. Daren Hidalgo, a Waukesha soldier who was killed in Afghanistan on Feb. 20, Gov. Scott Walker declared on Tuesday.

The flags are to be lowered on Wednesday, which is the day of Hidalgo’s funeral in Wisconsin.

“1st Lt. Daren M. Hidalgo provided faithful and honorable service to the people of the State of Wisconsin and the people of the United States,” Walker said in the declaration.
