DOT, State Patrol Advising Against Travel in Winter Storm

Roads still slushy and slippery in Waukesha Monday afternoon.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the Wisconsin State Patrol is advising motorists to not travel unless necessary as the winter storm continues into Monday evening, according to a news release.

Motorists are encouraged to drive with extreme caution, the release states. They also should be aware that tow trucks are removing stranded or stuck vehicles.

Meanwhile, roads in Waukesha still are a mix of slush, snow and ice but main roads are better than side streets.
