WISCONSIN HIGHLAND GAMES DIRECTOR IS 2014 HOSPITALITY HERO

Waukesha Pewaukee, WI – As a part of the 2013 National Tourism Week celebrations, the Waukesha Pewaukee Convention and Visitor Bureau (WPCVB) kicked off a monthly hospitality staff recognition program, Hospitality Hero! Each month a different segment of the hospitality industry is recognized. This month the WPCVB asked partners at Waukesha Pewaukee organizations to nominate volunteers who exemplify outstanding customer service and leadership qualities that make them a Hospitality Hero.

 

Connie Young, Games Director and Treasurer for the Wisconsin Highland Games was awarded this month’s Hospitality Hero! Waukesha County Expo Center Manager, Teri Adlam, nominated Connie for her work as the Games Director for the WI Highland Games whose responsibilities include attending to the needs and concerns of visitors at the games and coordinating the event. In addition, Connie serves as Treasurer, keeping the Highland Games financially viable and functioning smoothly. The WPCVB is pleased to recognize volunteer Connie Young for efforts keeping the Waukesha Pewaukee event, WI Highland Games, going strong for 13 years and counting!

The 2014 Wisconsin Highland Games will be at the Waukesha County Expo Center, August 29-31 celebrating all things Scottish, Irish and Celtic. Hear the mighty roar of bagpipes, see kilted athletes perform their feats of strength or engage in many activities including shooting the longbow, throwing a battle axe or enjoying a pint and delicious food options. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door, children 12 and under get in free. For more information visit www.wisconsinscottish.org.
