Sun Prairie, WI. (Monday, January 27, 2014) -- Hallman/Lindsay Paints honored its customers during this past holiday season by donating to 23 local food pantries across the state. Over $11,000 was donated by the Wisconsin company to local food pantries in the communities where the company has its stores.
Tim Sonnemann, manager of the Hallman/Lindsay store in Waukesha, and Tammy Stotler, assistant manager, met with a representative from the Food Pantry of Waukesha County to deliver the company donation.
“Hallman/Lindsay Paints has been a part of the Waukesha community for 21 years,” said Sonnemann. “As a Wisconsin company, we are committed to giving back. We are glad to support the Food Pantry of Waukesha County to help our neighbors.”
Hallman/Lindsay starting making donations to local food banks in 2009 when the recession was in full swing and demand at pantries was at record highs. Because one in nine Wisconsin families struggle with food security, Hallman/Lindsay Paints has continued their giving each subsequent year (USDA, 2012).
