Stuart Schroeder, CEO of the Schroeder Group, received the Don Richards Leadership Award on Friday during the Waukesha County Business Alliance's annual meeting.
"Community service was embedded in our firm since the beginning," Schroeder said.
"I don't really deserve this award personally. My employees do, and because of that, I will keep it," he added, which brought a chuckle from the crowd.
