Plenty of Entertainment This Weekend in Downtown Waukesha

Did you enjoy your St. Patrick's Day last weekend? With all the great specials, we hope you had a blast celebrating in downtown Waukesha. There's quite a bit in store for this week, so make sure to take advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having and head on down to check everything out!

LUNCH IS SERVED: Looking for a nice spot to visit during your lunch hour? Lucky for you, we have plenty of choices! Magellan's/M2 is always a popular favorite with their pizza specials that change daily. RiverMill Foods also is a great choice with their soups and sandwiches - maybe a slice of cheesecake for dessert too? One of Downtown's newest restaurants, Montecito Ristorante Lounge, also has a delicious lunch menu.

FRIDAY: Friday is much busier here downtown! For starters, break out your creative side and attend the glass fusing class at Wise Art Glass. Attendees have the opportunity to create four coasters, a plate, or necklace pendants. If you didn't stop by for a massage yesterday, Waukesha Tattoo @ Galleria Edge will have an acupuncturist Robin available to help you de-stress from a busy workweek. We're also very lucky to have two amazing theatrical productions performing tonight. Carroll University will have The Laramie Project and Waukesha Civic Theatre hosts The Miracle Worker. If you don't a chance to check out either of these this weekend, fear not - there will be additional performances. Don't forget to "catch" a fish fry Downtown. Rochester Deli and Montecito Ristorante Lounge both have some delicious dinners in store for you. And finally, how about taking a night out on the town? Generations At 5 Points hosts live local bands and Magellan's/M2 will have blues artists Rick Holmes and Peter Alt. Montecito Ristorante Lounge will also have artist Jeff Higbee performing live from 7 to 10 p.m.

SATURDAY: Have you had a sweet tooth lately? Allo Chocolat has you covered. Not only do they have their sweet of the week but also many Easter treats available too. Make sure to enter to win their 3-foot tall, 25 lb. chocolate bunny as well! Beading Hearts Studio hosts another one of their very popular "Yarn Forward" classes - you may find that knitting is a wonderful way to enjoy your weekend. And if you did miss them yesterday, Waukesha Civic Theatre will be performing The Miracle Worker tonight - Carroll University will also be having two performances of The Laramie Project, both a matinee and an evening showing. Magellan's/M2 brings the rock back to Waukesha on Saturday night as well! Southern rock/blues band Buffalo Chips will be there and are sure to give a good show.

SUNDAY: Carroll University has a few great events going on this Sunday. They will be presenting both their Senior Art Thesis Exhibition and their Carroll Art Student Union Exhibition. Additionally, there will be a reception for the senior artists - make sure to stop by to see these talented students' works of art. Waukesha Civic Theatre will also have its final performance of The Miracle Worker this afternoon.

MONDAY: What's the best way to start your week? Simple - make a quick visit to RiverMill Foods! Their special cheesecake promotion is still going on. Not only are the new flavors delicious, but it's way too good of a deal to pass up.

TUESDAY: The Waukesha County Historical Society & Museum still has their Behind The Vaults: Treasures from the County Museum Collections exhibit going on. Why not take your Tuesday and learn something new and exciting about Waukesha? Baby Signs 4 U LLC continues to teach baby sign language classes - new parents are especially encouraged to stop by if interested. As for dinner, you're in for quite the treat! First Congregational United Church of Christ will be hosting their Annual Pancake Supper, which is always a very popular event.

WEDNESDAY: Just think, by Wednesday we'll already be halfway through this week. Make a visit to Associated Bank and learn about their new "Bank at Work" offer. Also join other Downtown residents at Escamillia Entertainment & Dance Studio. Every Wednesday, the studio hosts salsa lessons for both beginner and intermediate dancers. We can't think of a better way to wind down and get ready for the upcoming weekend!
