Golden Guernsey Sale Can Save Jobs of Displaced Workers

There might still be hope for the displaced Golden Guernsey workers in Waukesha.

Under court approval, the bankrupt Golden Guernsey Dairy LLC is operating the dairy processing facility to prepare for potential sale, reported the Business Journal.

The company abruptly shut its doors in January and announced bankruptcy, leaving more than 100 employees wondering about their future.

Golden Guernsey was authorized 60 days of financing for limited operations and payment to a few former employees. The Business Journal reported that this is an attempt to try to get people back to work.

Gov. Scott Walker has said his administration is working to help displaced Golden Guernsey workers, an effort that includes special job fairs for the former employees.
