Area businesses plan "end of the world" events as the Mayan calendar comes to an end.

The Nice Ash is holding "Ashageddon" Friday night.

"Ask for your free nasty shot of tequila and then pray that the Mayans were right," states the bar's website.

Montecito

Montecito is holding an "End of the World Party" in downtown Waukesha. Here's what the event information says from the restaurant/bar's post on our events page:

Come down to Montecito on December 21st to celebrate the end of the Mayan Calander in style! Our resident DJ, Deejay Flacko, will be on the turn tables from 9 until close. We will have giveaways, awesome food specials, and better drink specials!

Rox Bar & Grill, 2820 N. Grandview Blvd.

Rox Bar is celebrating its one-year anniversary party and an "End of the World" party with drink specials and dancing.

St. Paul Pub

The St. Paul Pub will hold a Christmas party Friday night with free Coors light from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
