Business Alliance Award Nominations Due Aug. 2

The Waukesha County Business Alliance is seeking nominations for the 2013 Don Richards Leadership Award.

As publisher of The Business Journal and chairman of the Waukesha Area Chamber of Commerce, the late Don Richards’ hands-on leadership, ethics and delight in achieving tangible results have left a lasting impression on our leaders today. The Don Richards Leadership Award was created in his honor in 1993 to inspire and motivate business people to take community leadership roles. The Award is sponsored by the Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee.

Nomination forms can be downloaded from www.waukesha.org and are due Aug. 2. The award will be given in conjunction with the Business Alliance’s 95th Annual Meeting on Friday, September 13, 2013. Information about the Annual Meeting is available at www.waukesha.org.

Past recipients of the award have included local leaders such as Leon Janssen, GE Medical Systems; Rexford W. Titus, II – President & CEO, Waukesha Memorial Hospital; Don Taylor – President, Waukesha State Bank; Margaret Farrow – Community Leader & Former Lt. Gov.; and Thomas E. Dalum – CEO, DUECO, Inc.
