Build the Dream - MLK

This leadership program brings together County middle school leaders and their teachers and advisors to explore leadership and diversity issues that tie into Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s vision.  This year’s program will feature the Rachel’s Challenge.

Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion coupled with the contents of her six diaries have become the foundation for one of the most life-changing school programs in America, Rachel’s Challenge.

Powerful video/audio footage of Rachel's life holds students spell-bound during a one hour presentation that motivates them to positive change in the way they treat others. Check-in is at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23rd, with the program beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Richard T. Anderson Center on the campus of WCTC. Lunch and small group activities follow the presentation. Please RSVP by January 16, 2012, by calling 262-691-5302.
