Man Struck By Train in Waukesha

Flight For Life transported adult man to Froedtert Hospital after being hit by a train in Waukesha.

An adult man who was hit by a train Tuesday evening was taken by Waukesha paramedics to the Flight For Life hanger at the Waukesha County Airport where he was transported to Froedtert Hospital, according to Battalion Chief Joe Hoffman.

The 56-year-old man is in stable condition after receiving non-life threatening injuries, according to Waukesha Police Sgt. Joe Hendricks.

The train has since cleared from being stopped in Waukesha for at least an hour with police near Arcadian and Hartwell avenues.

Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News report that a spokesman for Canadian National Railway said the train was heading north and hit the person south of Arcadian.

Waukesha photographer Abe Van Dyke's photos from the scene can be found on Patch. Patch user Lisa Bischke Neumann shared these photos as paramedics treated the man.
