The body of a 56-year-old Town of Genesee man, who was biking on the Glacier Drumlin Trail, was found by Waukesha police officers and Waukesha County deputies who were responding to a report of an unresponsive man after 8 p.m. Monday.
Runners on the trail spotted the man, who was mostly concealed in foliage, with his bag and backpack next to him, according to the Waukesha Police Department's call log.
The man had no visible trauma and foul play is not suspected at this time, according to Waukesha County Capt. Michelle Larsuel.
"We think this was a possible medical issue," Larsuel said.
Waukesha County investigators were seen loading the man's bike into a sheriff's department van. The Waukesha County medical examiner was also called to the scene.
Authorities expect to release more details on Wednesday.
