Apple Harvest Festival, Waukesha County Parks
The Retzer Nature Center's "Apple Harvest Festival" will be held Sept. 22, 2012, in Waukesha. Volunteers are needed at this fun family festival to assist in the Children's Activity Area. Three volunteer shifts are available: 8:30 a.m. to noon, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2 to 5:30 p.m. Activities will include simple crafts, games, and outdoor nature-related activities. All volunteers receive free admission into the festival. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and enjoy working with children. Please dress for weather conditions, as this is an outdoor event. All training and materials will be provided upon your arrival the day of the event. Event is held rain or shine, so you are needed regardless of the weather.

Pharmacy Assistant. Community Outreach Health Clinic
The pharmacy assistant gathers and packages patient's medications and completes prescription label for dispensing by pharmacist, physician or nurse practitioner, organizes medications in medication room and takes out the outdated medications monthly. The Community Outreach Health Clinic is located in the Outpatient Care Center at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls. Volunteers are needed during clinic hours (5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You schedule yourself to work whatever Tuesday and Thursday you are able. Minimum age is 18 and training is providing for all roles.

Help Seniors by Mowing Lawns this Fall, Interfaith Senior Programs
Seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Waukesha County need help with lawn mowing during fall months. This is a great way for teens to earn service hours. Volunteers are needed to mow lawns of seniors and/or adults with disabilities from now through October. Dates and times can be coordinated with the client, based on mutual availability.  Volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old, patient and friendly, and willing to be committed to the project through the season. May require your own lawn mower.

Body and Brain Connection Workshop, Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry
Meet and greet participants registered for the Body and Brain Connection Workshop, which is being held on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 2:30 p.m.  to 5:30 p.m. Provide a friendly face and help direct them to the correct room for their workshop offered in the Scheutze Recreation Center near downtown Waukesha. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
