Harley Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration Planned for Downtown Waukesha

Music event will follow the format of Freeman Friday Night Live.

A special edition of Freeman Friday Night Live is planned for downtown Waukesha for the Harley Davidson 110th Anniversary celebration, according to a news release from the Waukesha Downtown Business Association.

The event is planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the downtown area.

Here is more from the news release:

The WDBA at its August meeting decided to embrace the Harley Riders by providing the same type event that Waukesha has been known for which is a family friendly event on the streets of downtown Waukesha. In working with City of Waukesha staff and department heads, the WDBA in cooperation with the city will run the event the same as our current Friday Night Event.

This means the same footprint of street closing will be used with parking on the streets limited after 5 p.m. and the streets closed to traffic from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The same rules we follow on Friday Nights of no open intoxicants on the streets will be followed along with the no carry-in rules that presently apply.

In addition the WDBA has agreed with department heads recommendations about additional need of police officers, trash pick-up and port-a-potties for our visiting guest from Harley Davidson anniversary celebration. The WDBA also has paid in advance for those determined services.

Free parking is available, including in the Riverfront Plaza Lot 1 along the Fox RiverWalk after the Farmer's Market on Saturday afternoon.
