Waukesha Night Out

Waukesha Night Out is an event for the whole community in This event is held annually and is free to the community. It is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support and participation in local anti-crime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

What will be happening at WNO in 2012:

  • Flight for Life will be stopping by the event from 5 - 6pm (weather & no emergencies permitting).
  • Batman will be there with the Batmobile.  Please bring a camera for photo opportunities.
  • Music provided by D.J. Ricky Z from Complete Music.
  • Bango from the Milwaukee Bucks will be in the crowd from 6:00-6:30 pm.
  • Roscoe of the Milwaukee Admirals will be in the crowd from 5:00-6:00 pm.
  • The Badgerland Ski Team will be performing at 6:00pm in the Fox River.
  • ProHealth Care will be selling and fitting childrens bicycle helmets for $10.
  • American Dojo Martial Arts will be doing a Martial Arts demonstration.
  • J.K. Lee Blackbelt Academy will be doing a Martial Arts demonstration.
  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will have a boating safety display.
  • A Motorcycle Deputy from the Waukesha Sheriff's Department will be on display.
  • A Squad Car, Armored Car and Command Post will be on display from the Waukesha Police Department
  • A Waukesha Police Officer will be present to finger print children.
  • The Fire Safety House, an Ambulance and a Fire Truck will be on display from the Waukesha Fire Department.
  • Waukesha Metro Transit will have a City Bus on display.
  • Waukesha Recycling will have a recycling display.
  • The Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Alumni will be giving out cotton candy next to their 9 hole miniature golf course (they are unable to offer Corn due to the drought.  The WCPAAA would like to thank Ingersoll Farms for their past contributions to this event).
  • G.E. Healthcare volunteers will be handing out free food to the community.
  • Target volunteers will be handing out free water to the community.
  • The Waukesha Patch will be handing out free popcorn to the community.
  • Kindercare will have a display where they will be passing out child safety information.
  • Wisconsin Crime Alert Network will have a display to inform the community about their safety notification network. 
  • Alzheimers Association will have a display with information.
  • Waukesha State Bank will have a display and will hand out information regarding Safe Banking.
  • Waukesha Elks Lodge will have a display handing out drug information.
  • McGruff the Crime Dog and Sparky the Fire Dog will be in the crowd.
  • We will have FREE food; inflatable jump house and slide, child carnival games, activities, and prizes for children; safety / drug information and demonstrations for people of all ages. Supplies are limited.
