Southeast Wisconsin Festival of the Books

Wisconsin Festival of Books and Martha Merrell’s Books announces the first of it’s monthly new writer’s series with Reed Coleman, which leads up to the annual Southeast Festival of the books on June 15 & 16 at UW-Waukesha.  

Reed Coleman who appeared at last year’s festival, and is talking about his new book “Hurt Machine”. Coleman’s most recent novel, “Hurt Machine,” was named one of 2011’s Best Novels by “Publishers Weekly” and received a loving review in “The New York Times.”, Coleman will be appearing at a special reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in newly renovated Taylors People’s Park, 337 W. Main Street, Waukesha.  Coleman will read a selection from “Hurt Machine” and be available to sign copies. Tickets are $25 or $40 for the reception and a reserved copy of “Hurt Machine.” Tickets are available through Martha Merrell’s Books, 231 W. Main Street, Waukesha, (262) 547-1060. Reservations for the reception are required and a portion of the proceeds help fund the Book Festival in June.
