Honor Song!

Carol Smart brings her one-woman show, Honor Song!, to the Waukesha Civic Theatre with all proceeds benefitting the theatre.

The story is the life and times of Dr. Rosa Minoka-Hill, an early Native American Woman Physician (and Carol’s grandmother). The play uses the character of Rosa to tell her stories and the recollections of her life. In 1899, at the
age of 23, Rosa graduated from the local Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania, eventually setting up her medical practice on the Oneida reservation near Green Bay. She was the second Native American woman doctor in the nation, and the first in the state of WI. This incredible story truly is an Honor Song!

Tickets are $5; seating is general admission. Service fees apply to all tickets. For more information, please contact the Box Office at (262) 547-0708 or boxoffice@waukeshacivictheatre.org
