WISN: J.J. Watt's 5K Fundraising Run Bigger Than Ever

For the third year, NFL player J.J. Watt hosted a 5K run on Saturday at the Waukesha Technical College. The event is getting bigger each year, he said.

Houston Texans' J.J. Watt was at Waukesha County Technical College Saturday hosting a fundraiser for his foundation.

For the third year, the defensive end hosted a 5K race to benefit the J.J. Watt Foundation, which supports after-school athletic programs for children, according to Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News.

"We bumped up the number of applicants and the money that we're raising is getting even higher, as well," Watt told the TV station. "It's awesome to see that even though I play in a different state far away, that I can come home and the people here still support me and still support my foundation."
