Waukesha Salvation Army Bell Ringers Surpass Goal
Local charity organization is still more than $125,000 below goal in Christmas fundraising campaign, but donations continue to arrive.
While the Waukesha Salvation Army is still more than $125,000 below its total fundraising goal for the year, the bell ringers have exceeded goal this year.
Major Carol Lemirand sent out this update on Christmas Eve about the Salvation Army’s Christmas fundraising campaign:
As of today the Red Kettle Total is $436,497.41 or $16,497.41 over the goal. There will be additional income when the mini-counter kettles are brought in about Jan. 4, so we could end the season at about $440,000 thanks to all the hard work of caring volunteers, hard working staff, and generous donors. What an outpouring of love as we meet the needs of individuals in 2013.

The Christmas goal of $680,000 is still being calculated as people make their end of the year contributions which are counted toward the goal. Currently, we are $127,335 from the goal, but all receipts are not recorded as the staff takes a couple of days to celebrate Christmas. We will have a better summary about the third week of January.
