Waukesha County Schedules Beach Closings

Swimming is prohibited when beaches are closed.

The six beaches within the Waukesha County Park System are set to close later this month as the community prepares for back to school. The closing dates are based on lifeguard availability, according to a county news release.

Waukesha County Beaches are only open when lifeguards are on duty and swimming is prohibited when beaches are closed, the release states. 

The following are the Waukesha County beach closing dates:

  • Mukwonago Park – Aug. 21, 5 p.m.
  • Fox Brook Park – Aug. 21, 7 p.m.
  • Muskego Park – Aug. 23, 7 p.m.
  • Naga-Waukee Park – Aug. 24, 5 p.m.
  • Minooka Park – Aug. 28, 5 p.m.
  • Menomonee Park – Aug. 30, 7 p.m.

 The Waukesha County beach hours will remain the same, unless their closing dates state otherwise. Normal beach hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends, with lifeguards on duty daily. County Park entrance fees are $3 on weekdays and $5 on weekends/holidays. Use of the beach is included in the park entrance fee.
