Waukesha County Museum Hires Firm for Les Paul Exhibit

Same firm designed projects for NASA and Museum of Liverpool England.

BRC Imagination Arts of Burbank California has been hired by the to design a Les Paul Exhibit.

The company previously has worked on projects for the Lincoln Presidential Library, the Empire State Building, Louisiana’s Old State Capital, NASA and the Museum of Liverpool England.

The museum also hired Engberg Anderson, an architectural firm, to work with the California design firm to develop a comprehensive master plan for the museum because of the Les Paul exhibit, according to a news release from the museum.

“We are thrilled about teaming up with two high-caliber firms, each with their own area of expertise,” said Kirsten Lee Villegas, executive director of the museum, in the news release. “Working with them over the next few months will allow us to lay the groundwork for creating an outstanding Les Paul exhibit housed within an engaging museum. This is our first step to bring our bold vision to fruition of becoming an premier regional destination point.”

The museum announced less than a year ago that it hoped to bring a Les Paul exhibit to Waukesha. A previous news release stated the museum hopes to open such an exhibit in 2013.

is a Waukesha native who died in August 2009 at age 94. He is buried in Waukesha at Prairie Home Cemetery.
