Waukesha County Beaches To Open Saturday

Minooka Park is one of six county parks with beaches.

The Waukesha County Parks System announced the opening of its six beaches in starting at 10 am. on Saturday, June 4.

Minooka Park's swimming pond is part of the Waukesha County Parks system, and will be open during the weekend from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. Β (In general, days that post highs in excess of 80 degrees will extend beach closing hours to 8 p.m.)

While some parks offer swim lessons, Minooka Park in Waukesha does not. Minooka Park's pond is four acres.

Park admission is $3 on weekdays and $5 on weekends and holidays, and includes the use of the beach. Β In addition, annual park stickers are available for $27 for county residents and can be purchased at the entry shack to the park.

In addition to Minooka Park, beaches can be found at Muskego Park, Fox Brook Park in Brookfield, Mukwonago Park, Menomonee Park in Menomonee Falls, and Naga-Waukee Park in Hartland.
