Thursday is Beat the Clock Day at Waukesha County Fair

Carry-in ban lifted again to allow for clear water bottles.

The carry-in ban at the Waukesha County Fair has been lifted again for Thursday, allowing people to bring clear water bottles into the fairgrounds at the Waukesha County Expo.

With temperatures in the 90s, the fair made the decision Wednesday to allow the water bottles into the fair. It’s unknown if that ban will be in place Friday.

It’s $5 Beat the Clock Day. Admission to the Waukesha County Fair before 3 p.m. costs $5. It’s also senior citizens day and costs $3 for all day for seniors age 62 and above. It’s also Military Day – free admission for those with a valid military ID.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday. Regular admission is $9 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and children age 5 and under are free. Parking is $5.

Wristbands for unlimited rides will cost $20. The wristbands are good from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. or from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

K-9s in Flight Dog Show – 2:30, 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

The show is a choreographed production that runs approximately 30 minutes. The show has world class K9 athletes showcasing the top amazing K9 sports, including K9 dock diving, high jump and Frisbee. Aside from the dynamic entertainment value, the show also educates the importance of pet adoption, exercise, nutrition, and the special bond between humans and dogs. All of K9s in Flight's Stars have been rescued or adopted from shelters all over the country.

Senior Events on the Senior Day Stage – 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In the air conditioned 4-H Forum, sponsored by the Waukesha Freeman

Demonstrations of crafting, spinning, woodworking, knitting and painting from 2 to 6 p.m.

 Horse & Pony Talent Show – 11 am

Horse Rings, sponsored by New Berlin Lions Club

 4-H Cream Puff Eating Contest – 4:30 p.m. – all ages

Children’s Stage, sponsored by InPro Corporation in the Arena Marketplace
