T-Shirts for RiverWalk for Breast Cancer Available This Weekend

Individuals and teams registered for the 2011 RiverWalk for Breast Cancer are invited to beat the rush the morning of RiverWalk by picking up their event T-shirts at Waukesha Memorial Hospital from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

A bake sale, coordinated by the Center for Breast Care staff, raffle ticket sales for prizes and the opportunity to pick up incentive prizes participants earned will also take place during the T-shirt pick-up. 

Registration for the RiverWalk for Breast Cancer is still open and can be done at the scheduled early T-shirt pickup. The entry fee is $20 prior to noon on May 3.  After May 3, the fee will increase to $25. Participants will receive a long-sleeved pink T-shirt that commemorates the event’s 15th year. This year’s walk is being held on Mother’s Day weekend. 

The 1.7-mile and 3.4-mile walk begins at 10 a.m. May 7 at Frame Park in Waukesha. Entertainment, refreshments, and other activities will be available starting at 8 a.m.
