Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect Despite Hot, Hot Day

Waukesha County under heat advisory this week with temperatures in the 90s.

It’s feeling hot, hot hot!

The temperatures outside are 82 degrees as of 10:30 a.m. Monday, all indications pointing toward a hot, humid summer day. The weather forecast is partly sunny with a high of 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Waukesha County is under a heat advisory – and could be under a heat advisory all week. That includes Wednesday’s high of 94 degrees when the Waukesha County Fair starts.

The NWS is predicting slightly cooler days of 89 degrees and 87 degrees on Friday and Saturday.

Monday’s heat index is predicted to be between 100 and 110 degrees outside.

But, there is also a severe thunderstorm watch that could cool things down, but that relief will be short lived, according to the National Weather Service. The watch is in effect until 3 p.m. The storms could produce damaging winds and large hail, according to the NWS.
